Busy night for Quincy Police

Looks like QPD had a busy night, 3 armed robberies and a burglary downtown. They caught the suspects in all the armed robberies, but no suspects yet in the burglary. I guess they do do more than just give seat belt and loud music tickets ;)

Saw that Rodney mentioned local bloggers in the HW this morning. What are you trying to do RH? Are you exposing the great underground that is local bloggers? I think its great that you mention the blogging arena. Hopefully more people will become active bloggers. Hats off to RH.

Dead Puppies in Quincy

What a sad time for Quincy. Puppies that were recently purchased for the Holiday Season are dying. The puppies are affected by a deadly disease. There has been discussion that the Fish Depot in Quincy uses a "puppy mill" to supply their puppies. Puppy mills are notorious for unhealthy animals. Now the store is not being upfront w/ people being able to receive money back, saying that it will take weeks to get people their money back, that ssounds like bad business pure and simple. Any other takes on this situation?

Quincy's Downtown

There is currently a lot of discussion about the future of the downtown area. It has a lot of great architecture and history, no one can argue about that. Apparently the downtown area is safe as well. Why aren't more businesses locating downtown? Is it because most new houses and stores are opening on the east end? That is quite possibly a good answer, but are there others? The downtown condo project is a good one for the area and may help to give the downtown the much needed boost it needs. The are really lacks in quality housing. It would be great to see that part of town revitalized into a great place to eat, shop and enjoy, especially with the very nice park. What is it going to take to make downtown great once again?

Finding apartments in Quincy SUCKS!!!!

Why are there no resources available to find rental property online for the Quincy area? Well now there is! LocalLandLord.com is being created to help both LandLords find quality Tenants, and for Individuals seeking quality Housing to find that as well.

I recently became distraught while looking online for available rental property in the local area. So I decided it was a calling to create a website to help others such as myself. There are currently no listing so this is a call to all landlords with vacant properties to list their properties for free!
